Incremental type: Rotary encoder that outputs a pulse train according to the rotational displacement of the shaft. Detect rotation amount by counting the number of pulses
Absolute type: Rotary encoder that outputs the rotation angle as an absolute code. Reading the code and detecting the rotation position. Return to starting point is required
Direction determination unit: Inputs a phase difference signal from a rotary encoder and determines the direction of rotation. Both types of voltage output and open collector output can be connected.
